What happens when Monet, Van Gogh, Degas and Manet leave the canvas? You probably know the paintings, even if you don’t consider yourself an art expert. Monet’s famed water lilies, Degas’ ethereal ballet dancers, Van Gogh’s iconic swirling starry skies and Manet’s Olympia have become some of the most recognizable images in art history. But at Arte Museum Las Vegas, those familiar works are presented in a completely different way.
The 30,000-square-foot Arte Museum Las Vegas has partnered with the Musée d’Orsay in Paris to digitally reinterpret works by some of the museum’s most celebrated artists. Rather than viewing the pieces behind glass or inside a traditional museum, you’ll get to encounter them through large-scale projections that are accented with mesmerizing soundscapes and other sensory elements for an all-encompassing experience.

The result puts the focus on the qualities that made these artists so distinctive in the first place: Monet’s exploration of light, Van Gogh’s expressive movement, Degas’ graceful ballet dancers and Manet’s modern take on Parisian life. Keep scrolling for a look at some of the most iconic artworks you’ll see come to life, from stepping into Van Gogh’s starry skies to wandering through Monet’s water lilies. These masterpieces look completely different at Arte Museum Las Vegas!
Step into Monet’s world of light and color

Claude Monet is closely associated with Impressionism and his fascination with the changing effects of light and color. His paintings often capture fleeting moments rather than perfectly defined scenes, whether he was painting a landscape, a garden or the surface of a pond.
His garden at Giverny became one of his most famous subjects, inspiring works featuring flowers, water and the Japanese-style pond that became synonymous with his later paintings. The Musée d’Orsay collection includes several works connected to these themes, including The Artist’s Garden at Giverny, Poppies and his iconic water-lily paintings. At the Arte Museum Las Vegas, those elements can be experienced at a much larger scale. Instead of looking at a garden or pond contained within a rectangular canvas, you’ll get to be surrounded by the colors, shapes and atmosphere associated with Monet’s work.
Van Gogh’s unmistakable movement

Vincent van Gogh’s work has an entirely different visual energy, with bold colors and expressive brushstrokes bringing everything from intimate interiors to rural landscapes to life. At Arte Museum Las Vegas, visitors can experience this range through digital interpretations of his works, including The Bedroom and The Siesta, Resting from Work (After Millet).
Reimagined on a massive scale, these familiar scenes become part of an immersive visual environment, allowing Van Gogh’s distinctive colors, movement and atmosphere to surround you.
Be captivated with Degas and his love of ballet

Edgar Degas is best known for his fascination with ballet, capturing dancers during performances, rehearsals and those beautiful, quiet moments backstage. At this experience, that world comes to life through digital interpretations of works including Blue Dancers, The Ballet Rehearsal on Stage, The Ballet Class, Dancers Climbing the Stairs and Two Dancers at Rest.
These fascinating works are reimagined on a massive scale, with the dancers’ poses and movements unfolding across this mesmerizing digital atmosphere. We love how it highlights the sense of motion that made Degas’ ballet scenes so memorable.
Manet and modern life in Paris
Édouard Manet brings another perspective to the experience. A major figure in the transition toward modern art, Manet often turned his attention toward contemporary Parisian life. His paintings depicted people, social settings and everyday scenes in ways that challenged the conventions of academic painting at the time.
The Musée d’Orsay collection at Arte Museum includes some of his best-known works, including Olympia, Luncheon on the Grass, The Balcony and The Fife Player.
From the Musée d’Orsay to Las Vegas

The connection between Arte Museum Las Vegas and the Musée d’Orsay brings these artists into an entirely different setting. The Musée d’Orsay is housed inside the former Gare d’Orsay train station in Paris, built for the 1900 Exposition Universelle, and is known for its collection of 19th- and early 20th-century art. Arte Museum Las Vegas takes works from that collection and translates them into a contemporary digital format. That means the experience isn’t simply about seeing famous paintings projected onto massive walls—you’ll also step into a reimagined train station inspired by the Gare d’Orsay.

Arte Museum Las Vegas combines digital imagery with music, sound and fragrance to create an environment that engages multiple senses. And because Monet, Van Gogh, Degas and Manet each had such distinctive approaches to color, movement, light and modern life, their work offers plenty for a digital experience to reinterpret!
Seeing familiar art differently

Part of the appeal of this experience is recognizing something familiar and then seeing it presented in a way you probably haven’t experienced before. You may already know Water Lilies, The Starry Night or Olympia. But seeing the visual qualities behind those works expanded across a multi-sensory environment creates a different relationship with the art.

Beyond this incredible collaboration with the Musée d’Orsay, you can also step into cascading waterfalls, wander through lush forests and immerse yourself in breathtaking digital landscapes. End your visit with a stop at ARTE CAFE, where you can sip specialty teas as beautiful digital art comes to life across your table.
What people are saying about Arte Museum Las Vegas

“This is a magical place. This museum was beyond amazing. We found it by accident; but would recommend anyone traveling to Vegas to put it on their itinerary. Every room has something different to experience.”
“A great museum experience! I originally came here because it kept showing up on my Instagram FYP. It’s funny how a few convincing posts can make you want to visit a place, but I’m so glad I decided to go! Each room featured incredible artwork that felt completely unique to the artist. It wasn’t just random colors placed together–it was a true display of creativity and imagination. You could feel the artistry flowing throughout the entire space, from the walls and floors to the ceilings. Every room had its own personality and story, making the entire experience visually captivating and inspiring.”
“In a city that never sleeps, this is a great, calming space to check out. Media art I didn’t know I needed! The layout was great and flowed so there was no overcrowding in any one room. We arrived right when they opened which may have helped in that. It was one of my favorite things during the short weekend I visited!”
”Words won’t do it justice, and pictures/videos don’t truly capture the experience. Just go. You’ll love it. My favorite was drawing my own cartoon and seeing it be dropped into the room’s wall animation. So cool.”
