November 2026 brings loads of amazing events to Sin City – but, as usual, those can come with heavy traffic disruptions. Whether you’re a local or a tourist, planning your route is essential to avoid lengthy delays. Here’s your complete guide!
The Las Vegas Grand Prix
The most significant road closures revolve around the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix, scheduled for November 19 – 21, 2026. During race week, the circuit roads shut down in daily phases. Freeway ramps begin closing at 12:30 PM, followed by property driveways, with full closures of major roads taking effect by 1 PM on each session day.
Affected streets include:
- Las Vegas Boulevard (from Sands Avenue to Harmon Avenue)
- Koval Lane
- Harmon Avenue
- Sands Avenue
- (parts of) Flamingo Road
These routes generally reopen overnight between 12 AM and 2 AM, depending on the day’s schedule. However, long-term construction means some disruptions are ongoing. Koval Lane is fully closed at the pit building from November 14 to 25. Additionally, 2 southbound lanes on Las Vegas Boulevard near the Bellagio, along with the adjacent sidewalk, are closed around the clock.
Downtown November events

Downtown is also seeing localized traffic impacts due to community events:
- November 6: expect evening closures on Casino Center Boulevard, Fremont Street and the adjacent alley; roads shut down at 6 PM and are scheduled to reopen by 4 AM on November 7.
- November 11: for Veterans Day Parade, expect daytime closures starting as early as 5 AM, primarily affecting 4th Street from Garces Avenue to Stewart Avenue. We expect to see these reopening around 2 PM.
Travel tips
During race week, the golden rule is to leave your car parked. Walking and using the Monorail – which operates dependably above the east Strip closures – are your most efficient options. If you must use a rideshare, expect surge pricing and always double your estimated travel time.
