Area 15 is an extraterrestrial, I mean, extraordinary, immersive playground just minutes away from The Strip.
On arrival, you will find a plethora of outlandish and mind-bending experiences, such as virtual realities and ax throwing, for starters! Wander through a bamboo volcano, zip line racing, and beyond. From the futuristic to the psychedelic, there’s an experience for just about everyone.
You will also find fresh and exciting shopping experiences and events. There is also an extensive food court and ice cream shop to enjoy a great meal while you plan your next Area 15 adventure with your friends.
One of Area 15’s most popular attractions is Meow Wolf’s Omega Mart. Which has declared itself “America’s Most Exceptional Grocery Store” and it’s easy to see why. Just like your run-of-the-mill grocery, the space is divided up into different sections. In this case, you’ll find four themed areas that range from twisted neon labyrinths to an intergalactic garden landscape with over 250 unique projects!
Next up is Wink World: Portals To The Infinite, this experience will make you wonder if you’ve stepped into the twilight zone or the looking glass. On this psychedelic journey, ala Gaspar Noé, you will see a vibrant world of colors you won’t soon forget.
If you love virtual reality and all it offers, you should differently check out The Oz Experience by Backlight. The OZ Experience has state-of-the-art technology to test the boundaries between what’s virtual and what’s real. After the VR, you might want to check out Emporium, the part bar part arcade venue.
However, there is still a lot more to come from Area 15, like Lost Spirit’s Distillery. Picture Willy Wonka’s factory but replace the candy with a distillery! This mash-up of art, science, and innovation is said to open in 2021. It promises to be a surreal amusement park with boat rides, undersea trains, and holograms alongside fine dining and world-class whiskey and rum.
We will keep you posted on the new additions to Area 15. But one thing is clear, Vegas will never be the same again!
