For the 4th year in a row, this wholesome home is opening up its doors for visitors to come and be dazzled by the magic of the holidays. Lovingly referred to as, “The Candy Cane House,” this home in Henderson has 50 decorated Christmas Trees, 38,000 lights, complimentary food and hot chocolate, and corners of photo opps.
According to a release by the couple, Joey Cardona and Victors Cardena who own the house, the traditon started after Cardona was diagnosed with cancer and was told he had a limited amount of time left. After the news, Victors Cardena had the idea of creating a Christmas display meant to bring on the holiday cheer during their time of sadness, and Four years later Cardona is still here, and the magic of their Christmas tradition lives on still.
The tour is free, but it’s highly recommended that visitors try to donate what they can to a good cause of the couple’s choice, HopeLink of Southern Nevada and the organization’s mission to “prevent homelessness, preserve families and provide hope.”
