For the 5th year in a row, this wholesome home is opening up its doors for visitors. Come and be dazzled by the magic of the holidays! Lovingly referred to as, “The Candy Cane House,” this home in Henderson has 80 decorated Christmas Trees, over 60,000 lights, complimentary food and hot chocolate, and so many corners of photo opportunities.
According to a release by Joey Cardona and Victors Cardenas, who own the house, the tradition started after Joey was diagnosed with cancer. He was told he had a limited amount of time left. After the news, Victors Cardena had the idea of creating a Christmas display meant to bring on the holiday cheer during their time of sadness. Four years later – Joey is still here, and the magic of their Christmas tradition lives on still.
The tour is free, but we recommend that you try to donate what you can to a good cause of the couple’s choice: HopeLink of Southern Nevada. The organization’s mission to “prevent homelessness, preserve families and provide hope.”
Located at 366 S. Milan Street in Henderson, the Candy Cane House will be open until December 22nd.
