Celebrate the Chinese Lunar New Year at these outstanding Chinatown eateries!
Las Vegas is known for its world-class restaurants. However, most people tend to first think of the celebrity chef restaurants in and around iconic casinos. But, just a stone’s throw away from the Strip is Chinatown. It covers around a four-mile stretch of Spring Mountain Road, somewhere between Rainbow Boulevard and Interstate 15. There you will find some truly fantastic food! These Chinatown spots are rich in flavor and culture, from traditional regional Chinese restaurants to new takes on Japanese food and beyond!
1. Joyful House Chinese Cuisine
Joyful House offers a mouth-watering Hong Kong-style Cantonese dining experience. Chef and owner Kai Yau has had a long career working at Strip restaurants and is bringing all that experience and joy to Joyful House. They have the freshest seafood, as you’ll see in the tanks. This beloved Vegas staple has amazing food and friendly service.

2. Sushi Kame
Sushi Kame offers high-end kaiseki and omakase dining experiences. Due to their success, dinners need to reserve at least two weeks in advance. They offer a $350 per person kaiseki dinner with an ever-changing menu, as well as $195 and $250 per person omakase experiences. Dinners can also order a la carte.

3. Lamoon
This Chinatown favorite restaurant features both Thai and Japanese cuisine that you are bound to love! Some of our favorite dishes include their sushi roll Roar, their Pad Kra Pow, and the Roasted Duck Red Curry.

4.SweetHoney Dessert
Up for something sweet? Then look no further than this hidden gem that serves up soufflé pancakes with plenty of wiggle! This small dessert spot has an excellent variety for a unique sweet tooth fix. Their thirst-quenching passion fruit green tea is a definite must. The souffle pancake can take up to 25 minutes to make, but we promise it’s worth the wait!

5. Raku
Raku is one of the best Japanese restaurants in Las Vegas! This five-time James Beard semi-finalist is outstanding. Their signature dishes are poached egg with uni and Ikura and Wagyu Ishiyak! They import all of their charcoal and condiments directly from Japan, making their dishes that much more special.

5. Chubby Cattle Las Vegas
Welcome to the world’s first conveyor belt-based hot pot. Chubby Cattle has traditional Mongolian, Tibetian, and Chinese food! They are particularly known for their Wagu meat. Though their colorful dumplings and noodles are not to be missed!

6. China Mama
This restaurant has one extensive menu. They aim to cover every region of China, the whole shebang! It can be a little intimidating for some customers at first. However, if you are looking for variety, this is the place for you! We recommend their delicious soup dumplings and crispy beef! Yum!

7. Fuku Burger Chinatown
Fuku Burger makes amazing burgers by fusing the classic American dish with a Japanese twist. Their Fuku patty is out of this word! It has a glazed pork belly with yellow daikon pickles and wasabi mayo served up with some amazing truffle fries. These unique flavors will have you looking at burgers in a new light!
