The Downtown Container Park is an outdoor mall in downtown Las Vegas.
This family-friendly outdoor attraction is a unique venue for spending a leisurely Vegas day. At The Container Park, you’ll see metal cubes and shipping containers housing fabulous restaurants, bars, and shops! Just blocks away from Fremont Street and Las Vegas Boulevard, The Container Park is the perfect escape within the city!
The Downtown Container Park was conceived by Tony Hsieh and his Downtown Project, a group dedicated to revitalizing the Vegas downtown area. Construction began in 2012 and opened its doors a year later. This metallic mall now has 43 shipping containers and 41 cubes.
The idea to use shipping container architecture for a shopping and entertainment center was inspired by projects such as Boxpark in London. The Container Park also has a kid’s play area with a 30-foot slide and water area in the middle so that everyone will enjoy their time! You can catch nightly shows on their outdoor amphitheater with many outstanding musicians.
There’s a great selection of retails stores at The Container Park. They have over 20 shops with everything from fashion boutiques to a nail salon, a cigar shop, and even a magic store! The Container Park also has many delicious restaurants to choose from, like the Downtown Terrace, Mob Pie, and Pinches Tacos! After your meal, we recommend visiting Oak & Ivy, An American Whiskey Bar.
They host events throughout the months, and during September, they have the Sunset Drum Circle and Yoga In The Park. The Sunset Drum Circle begins at (you guessed it) sunset every Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. They end at 10 PM on Thursdays and Sundays and at 1 AM on Fridays and Saturdays. It is now the fourth year of Yoga In The Park, and these Saturday & Sunday recurring classes are taught in the Ashtanga style by Rayce Rayos.
