‘Tis the season of giving, and two Las Vegas-based nonprofits are seeing that through with their giveaway this Wednesday.
Las Vegas is one of the biggest centers for entertainment in the nation, boasting countless iconic shows and events each year. Due to this year’s unexpected turn of events, 2020 has seen a massive decrease in industry participation, leaving many local entertainers and industry professionals out of work and struggling to survive.
This Wednesday, two organizations are teaming up to give back to the community that has provided Las Vegas with the world class entertainment it’s known for.
The Just One Project, a food distribution market, will work with charity-driven variety show Mondays Dark to provide free groceries to those in need. From 9 am until 12 pm this Wednesday (November 18), anyone in the entertainment industry who’s been affected by these trying times can come pick up two weeks worth of assorted groceries.
Dear #Vegas Entertainers,
We know this year has been tough, so @thejust1project & #MondaysDark want to make sure you have a happy Thanksgiving. Pick up 2 weeks of groceries on Nov. 18 from 9 a.m. – noon at 711 N Rancho Dr., Unit 100.We miss you, love you & are here for you. 🖤 pic.twitter.com/sBAvXf5ykj

“We give our time, we give our talents, we give our money to various charities all over the valley, and now those charities want to get back to us in our hour of need,” actor Adrian Zmed told FOX5.
The giveaway will take place at The Just One Project Pantry at 711 N. Rancho Drive. It will be completely anonymous and contact-free. All you have to do is pop the trunk of your car and volunteers will load it with two boxes stocked with food.
