Flavor Flav has officially announced he’s partnering with MGM Resorts to host a “She Got Game” weekend in Las Vegas from July 16 to 19, honoring the U.S. women’s hockey team following their gold medal victory at the 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympics.
The beloved rapper officially shared the news on Instagram, revealing plans for a celebratory weekend dedicated not only to the U.S. women’s hockey team, but to female athletes across Team USA.
The confirmed partnership follows Flavor Flav’s initial invitation to throw the team a “real celebration” in Las Vegas following their Olympic win.
“If the USA Women’s Hockey team wants a real celebration and invite, I’ll host them in Las Vegas,” the rapper wrote. “Do some nice dinners and shows and good times. I’m sure I can get a hotel and airline to help me out here and celebrate these women for real for real.”
- Event dates: July 16 to 19, 2026
- Location: Las Vegas, NV, in partnership with MGM Resorts & The Gist.
The U.S. women’s hockey team delivered one of the most memorable moments of the Winter Games, defeating longtime rivals Canada 2–1 in overtime to secure Olympic gold.
According to Flav, the event will go beyond a simple party, aiming to spotlight the achievements of female Olympians and create a meaningful moment of recognition.
Flavor Flav has increasingly become a high-profile supporter of women’s sports in recent years, previously backing Team USA’s women’s water polo program.
With Las Vegas known for hosting some of the world’s biggest championship celebrations, “She Got Game” weekend feels like a natural victory lap for Team USA. July is one of the city’s busiest months, packed with summer tourism and marquee events, making the timing especially fitting.
More details on venues, appearances, and programming are expected soon.
