You can now legally consume cannabis products on the Strip in Las Vegas at this lounge that just opened after a long time of cannabis consumption being illegal on the Strip.
On February 23rd, we saw the start of what will likely be a boom for the cannabis industry. Will Vegas become a new hot spot for cannabis tourism?
Smoke & Mirrors is a new vibey lounge from Thrive Cannabis Marketplace’s dispensary. The concept works like this: Head to the the dispensary to purchase cannabis products then kick back in the lounge to enjoy them, alongside a new cocktail menu of 11 THC-infused drinks to try.
Cannabis in Nevada became legal for recreational use on January 1, 2017. Before this, cannabis products could be purchased in Las Vegas, but there was never a place where people could legally partake in these products, local our tourist.
The opening of Smoke & Mirrors feels like it makes sense in a city known for indulgence and in an era where alcohol has become less and less consumed over the years, especially with the younger generation.
With the opening of Smoke & Mirrors, there’s another cannabis lounge opening right on its heels. Planet 13, the entertainment complex in Las Vegas with the world’s largest dispensary, dining, and apparel will soon open their smokign experience, Dazed! Lounge with a secret phone booth that leds you to a “world of eclectic art and a fine cannabis tasting menu.”
Imagine smoking, drinking, or trying food from the lounges’ tasting menus before heading out on to the Strip to see a gorgeous immersive installation like Awake or Arte, an immersive experience that just opened late last year.
You can inquiry about reservations at their website. All we know is that we’re excited to see what this new era will usher in and of course, partake responsibly.
