The Sphere premiers a first-of-its-kind Christmas performance that will be covering the entire exterior of the Sphere. Imagine how that will look from above!
In a collaboration with the Rockettes who perform their beloved performance, Christmas Spectacular Starring the Radio City Rockettes, at Radio City Music Hall in New York annually, and the Sphere, we’ll get to see a performance specifically for Las Vegas
The Exosphere, which is what the exterior of the Sphere is called, is a fully programmable LED exterior that has been lighting up Las Vegas since it’s opening earlier this fall. From the iconic Emoji to a spooky Jack O’ Lantern for Halloween and a bunch of different visuals for Formula 1 weekend, the Sphere has been active in keeping topical and seasonal. The holiday season will see much of the same, with the Christmas Spectacular by the Rockettes showing on the Sphere every day.
The dance performance debuted overnight and is the first of its kind, with a full 360 dance performance wrapped around the Exosphere.
“There is a magic here that we’ve created with Sphere, and there is a magic that is created by the Rockettes every year in the Christmas Spectacular,” said Guy Barnett, SVP, Brand Strategy & Creative Development, Sphere Entertainment, in a press release.
This will be the biggest presentation of the precisely choreographed dance performance, standing at 125 feet tall.

This is particularly exciting because it is the most complex combination of real-life footage and animated content we’ve created for the Exosphere to date.”
