Welcome to 2025! We’ve gathered unique and fun events happening around town for you to enjoy. We’ve included fantastic shows only Vegas can bring, beautiful outdoor activities, and cultural activities. Start your year with a bang and enjoy what the city has to offer. Here are the best things to do in Vegas this January.
1. Go on a winter hike
Was your resolution to move more, or spend more time outside? Then kickstart the year with a beautiful hike! It’s a fantastic way to get that step count going and take in Nevada’s natural wonders, while avoiding those astronomical summer temperatures. For example, Liberty Bell Arch is closed in the summer due to extreme temperatures, so there’s no better time than now to check it out. This six-mile trail is suitable for hikers of all skill levels and covers some outstanding spots. You’ll make your way past the colossal Liberty Bell Arch, a WWII-era mine, the remains of a mining cable car, and down to the tip of Black Canyon – overlooking the 1,000ft-deep Colorado River gorge.
2. Enjoy an enchanting Candlelight Concert
There’s a special magic when attending an intimate musical experience, particularly by flickering candlelight. These Candlelight concerts in Las Vegas are an excellent way to get away from all the bustle of your everyday life. In January, you can listen to classical twists of favorites like Coldplay, ABBA, Queen, or you can go with an actual classic: Vivaldi’s Four Season. Find all the options, and grab your ticket to an unforgettable experience, here.
3. Make the most of winter at the Rock Rink at Downtown Summerlin
Not ready to let go of that holiday feeling yet? This picturesque ice skating rink near the Pavilion at The Lawn is the perfect way to skate under the stars, all the way until January 20, 2025. You’ll also get the chance to snap festive winter pictures if you pose in front of the gigantic 40-foot tree overlooking the rink. You ca stay warm with signature holiday beverages and enjoy delicious snacks. Skate Rental cost $18, and the tickets must be reserved in advance.
4. Have a laugh at Mavericks, with this amazing variety show

5. Visit the Christmas-themed & the Lunar New Year Bellagio displays
Every season, the Bellagio Conservatory transforms into a beautiful display of flowers, plants, and sculptures. This year, for the winter season, the gardens received a visit from St. Nick. Inspired by the beloved holiday poem “A Visit from St. Nick” by Clement Clarke Moore, they’ve brought to life whimsical vignettes that celebrate the timeless story of giving, tradition, and family. Don’t miss the Peppermint Express Cart – where you can indulge in freshly popped popcorn, and signature hot chocolate.
Starting January 11, 2025, the display will change to a wonderful new theme: Lunar New Year. We can’t wait to see what Bellagio prepped for us this year!
6. Go shopping at the Las Vegas Market
If you’re looking to change up your home aesthetic, The Las Vegas Market needs to be on your list of things to do in Vegas this January! The market will take place between January 26-30, 2025, at World Market Center. You can see the latest in furniture, gifts, and home décor to spruce up your house.
7. Try a mocktail to celebrate Dry January
January is the month for a clean-slate and as such, you might be participating in Dry January. Sin City may seem like an impossible city to go sober, which is why we created a quick guide to help you out with choosing a place that has signature mocktail options, not just juice. Hint: Aft Cocktail Deck is on the list of places that offers great mocktails, such as Tulum, a zero-proof Margarita.
