13. Visit American’s most haunted motel

Clowns are funny things. You either love them, or absolutely hate them, but no matter what…you cannot visit America’s scariest motel and not feel some sort of way: scared, impressed, intrigued, or all at once. The Clown Motel is in the small town of Tonopah, built on top of a cemetery who rests people affected by the Tonopah Plague, miners who died in a tragic fire, and the first African American man to live there – shot by his wife after years of abuse. The impressive collection features 5000 clowns, and represents the largest private collection of clown figurines in the world. Rumors say, one of the clowns moves at night.
