What will you experience at TITANIC: The Artifact Exhibition?
Stepping through the doors of the TITANIC: The Artifact Exhibition almost feels uncanny. After being handed a replica of an original TITANIC boarding pass, you’ll find yourself gazing at the ship’s iconic Grand Staircase — standing before you in all its glory. Other full-scale recreations have made the exhibition their home, like the iconic Promenade Deck (complete with the frigid temperatures on that night, for a realistic experience like no other).

TITANIC: The Artifact Exhibition presents a collection of findings from the ship’s wreck site. Most impressive is the 15-ton piece of the ship’s hull, the largest piece of TITANIC ever recovered. A conserved Kilroy stoking transmitter was recently recovered during the third RMS Titanic, Inc. (RMST) expedition in 1994. An integral part of the ship’s engine, it remained unseen by the public until now and is currently on display at the exhibit.
This artifact is a direct connection to the human effort it took to keep TITANIC moving. It speaks not only to the Ship’s technological advancements, but also to the incredible physical labor of the hundreds of stokers and crew who powered her journey and gave those on board the best chance for rescue. — Tomasina Ray, President of RMS Titanic, Inc. and Director of Collections.
There’s also a brand new artifact on display in honor of this month of love — a rare diamond ring discovered during RMS Titanic Inc.’s (RMST) first recovery expedition in 1987.

Many more bits and bobs displayed grant us an inside-look into the time period as well. Luggage, china, pots and pans, floor tiles, a window frame from the ship’s café, an unopened bottle of champagne from the 20th century… all provide a fundamentally human perspective to TITANIC’s fall.
Most poignant among this memorabilia are the heartbreaking personal belongings recovered from TITANIC. Recovered artifacts could even be linked to the passenger whose name is on your boarding pass…

Don’t miss out on this experience that will challenge what you think you know about TITANIC and its passengers.
