The Vegas Golden Knights came out on top against the Colorado Avalanche 6-3. They eliminated the Presidents’ Trophy-winning team on Thursday night’s game. Now the Golden Knights will advance to the Stanley Cup semifinals! Alex Pietrangelo scored the final goal, securing the victory for Vegas!

The Golden Knights will now face the Montreal Canadiens. This is the third time the Golden Knights are in NHL’s final four in the team’s four-year existence!
The game was thrilling, beginning to end. Colorado’s Devon Toews scored only 23 seconds after the game began. However, Vegas bounced back quickly thanks to Nick Holden. After that, the two teams were evenly matched, and each scored until they reached a tie of 3-3. Until late in the second period of the game, Alex Pietrangelo broke the deadlock and won the game for the Golden Knights!
The Golden Knights will soon face off against the Montreal Canadiens in the semifinals to earn their second trip to the Stanley Cup Final.
The NHL announced that the winner of that series will be awarded that Clarence S. Campbell bowl. The winner of the Tampa Bay Lightning-New York Islanders series will get the Prince Of Wales Trophy.
