The one-and-only Welcome To Las Vegas sign will show support for Ukraine beginning tonight.
The iconic neon sign will light up in blue and yellow, representing Ukraine’s flag beginning at sunset, on Monday, February 28. The Clark County Commissioner, Michael Taft, announced the show of support in a tweet on Sunday. However, he did not specify how long the color change would last.

This is not the first time the famous sign has changed its light bulb colors to support a cause. The Vegas landmark on the south end of The Strip has previously changed its colors for causes like Black History Month and Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign was erected back in 1959 by Western Neon. The Vegas landmark was designed by Betty Willis at the request of a local salesman Ted Rogich who then sold it to Clark County, Nevada.
Ukraine is currently in its fifth day of war since Russia’s invasion of the country. Over half a million people have fled the country.
