Sphere has a new epic event on the calendar! Oprah Winfrey’s AHA will take over the Vegas venue for a single weekend — April 2, 3, and 4, 2027 — with Winfrey appearing live on stage alongside a wide-ranging collective of musicians, poets, and storytellers. Tickets start at $145!
Oprah Winfrey’s AHA at Sphere
The two-hour show draws on an unusually deep creative bench. Seven-time Grammy winner Jacob Collier leads the musical performances, while poet and author Ocean Vuong contributes original poetry. Musical direction and original compositions come from Oscar-nominated composer Max Richter, with additional music from Grammy winner Jason White and Grammy-nominated electronic artist Jon Hopkins. The script is written by Tarell Alvin McCraney — MacArthur Fellow and Oscar-winning screenwriter of Moonlight — and original visual works come from artist Es Devlin and the Plum Village Monks. Gospel singer Wintley Phipps and musician Ajeet are also set to perform.
Direction falls to Ethan Tobman, with production led by Baz Halpin, Emmy winner and founder of Silent House Group. The show is executive produced by Winfrey herself, alongside Jennifer Rudolph Walsh, Harpo Entertainment’s Tara McNally Montgomery, Ben Winston of Fulwell Entertainment, social entrepreneur Andrew Maxwell Mangino, and Pinterest co-founder Evan Sharp.
What Sphere’s technology adds
The production is built to exploit Sphere’s full technical range: the venue’s wraparound LED display will envelop the audience on all sides, while the venue’s concert-grade audio system delivers precision audio to every seat. The result is closer to an environmental installation than a conventional concert.
Winfrey has said the concept took shape on opening night of U2’s Sphere residency, where she became convinced the space could serve as a vehicle for deeper human connection. This conviction has shaped every element of AHA.
