We love sipping cocktails on a rooftop terrace, or having champagne in a pool on a warm spring day. But, no matter what, some days the budget’s just tighter…and we LOVE a good deal, too. We’ve put together this list of our favorite places of cheap eats in Vegas, meaning spots where you can get a decent-sized, tasty meal for under $15.
1. The famous $2 hot-dog and beer – which is now $3
It’s almost impossible not to have heard about this deal from Downtown Grand. Though inflation hit even the cheapest eats, and the famous deal now costs $3, it’s still an amazing not-to-miss. You’ll find Nathan’s hot dog cart inside the resort, and it’s only there during day time.
2. Monta Noodles House
Every foodie can appreciate a great bowl of steaming hot noodles in a delicious broth…also known as ramen. The problem is, ramen takes forever to make, and that usually comes with a price-tag. But, at Monta, they somehow managed to make an authentic dish at a very affordable price. At just under $11, you can get a bowl of goodness, such as a classic tonkotsu, shoyu or miso. Add $2 and enjoy their very special-looking black garlic oil ramen. If you’re wondering how the deep flavors are achieved here, they use a technique that originates in Kurume, Japan – they save some of the soup used that day, and add it to newly made soup.
3. Tacos El Gordo
At a bit over $4 per taco, this isn’t THE cheapest eating spot around…but, you do get full, delicious tacos, with 2 tortillas per piece. It’s no secret that this is a beloved gem for locals and visitors alike, so be prepared to wait in line – however, most agree that it’s well worth it.
4. The Lakes Lounge
This spot has been serving hungry fellows for cheap for a long time – and thankfully, they still do. Their best deal is definitely the all day, 24/7, New York steak and eggs for just $11. It even comes with potatoes and toast, which makes this a pretty unbeatable deal for cheap eats in Vegas. However, they have other great options too, with daily specials at around $12-$13, or a great Prime Rib Special for $19. Check their website for the latest menu, but definitely save this for eating out when on a budget.
5. Juan’s Flaming Fajitas & Cantina
Another staple when it comes to authentic Mexican flavors in the city…and it has some pretty good deals, too! Their lunch huevos are $13 and come in many shapes and forms, they have lunch specials where you can combine two items from their menu for $15,50 (or have one item for $12), and their lunch fajitas are very affordable too. Overall, anytime you have lunch here on a week day, you’re guaranteed to get some good flavors, generous portions, and all for under $15. Oh, did we mention $5 Margaritas?
6. Marilyn’s Café
All day affordable breakfast? Yes, please. At Marilyn’s Café, you can always get a delicious omelette for just under $12 – and you get to choose 3 ingredients your self! Moreover, it’s served with hash browns or grits, plus toast – so you won’t leave hungry, which is why it makes our list of cheap eats in Vegas. Their spam & eggs, which comes with the same extras as the omelette, is also just $11,35, and so are their breakfast burritos.
7. Brooklyn’ Best Pizza and Pasta
It’s no secret that this spot was voted best pizza in Vegas multiple times. Whether you agree wit that statement or not, it’s definitely hard to argue with their lunch special: 2 slices and a drink for under $10. Even without it, a cheesy slice is just $3, and a specialty one $3,75, which puts it up there with the greatest deals if you’re craving pizza while on a budget.
There we go – these are our favorite cheap eats in Vegas, that hit the spot.
