After a historic debut in 2023 that drew record-breaking crowds and transformed the Las Vegas Strip, F1 is back from November 21 to 23, 2024. Last year, the city welcomed more than 315,000 fans, making it one of the largest sporting events in Las Vegas’ history.
2024 promises even more fun and excitement, but it’s also expected to bring significant road closures and travel disruptions. If you’re planning to experience the race – or just trying to get around the city – here’s what you need to know.

How to get tickets for F1 Las Vegas Grand Prix
Want to join the party? Here’s how:
Tickets
In order to watch the events from any of the zones, you will need a ticket. A single-day, general admission pass starts at $99, and a 3-day pass starts at about $1,600. There are many options to enjoy the race, with plenty of resort and sponsors offering experiences for each budget and needs.
For example, Heineken’s GA+ Single Day ticket and T-Mobile’s General Admission include food, soft drinks and water. However, Flamingo’s General Admission and the Caesar Palace’s Admission will have food and drinks available for purchase, making the base fee lower.
Many options are now sold out – so if you plan to attend, hurry up and secure your spot!
Viewing Parties
No ticket? No problem. Many hotels and bars are hosting watch parties, offering a fun atmosphere without the cost of attending the race.
For more ticket options, check the official F1 Las Vegas Grand Prix website.
Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix 2024 Events
While the race itself is the main entertainment for this Formula 1 weekend, plenty of other things are happening around town. The T-Mobile zone at Sphere will welcome One Republic, Alesso, Ludacris, and many others.
There are 3 other zones for live music and amazing DJs, with more acts still to be announced, so keep an eye out – there won’t be a boring moment!
In addition to the races, there are daytime fan experiences near the Wynn Hotel, including driver appearances, food trucks, and interactive entertainment. However, this event is currently fully booked.
F1 Key Road Closures & Transportation Tips
Expect serious road closures around the Strip. If you’re driving, here’s what to avoid:
- Las Vegas Boulevard: Closed between Sands Ave. and Tropicana Ave. nightly from 6 PM to 2 AM.
- Spring Mountain Road: Shut down from November 13 to 17 for race setups and crowds.
- Koval Lane: already closed between between Harmon Avenue and Flamingo Road
Keeping this in mind, if you have to go in and out of the closures, you can use the two temporary bridges at Flamingo and Koval, and Harmon and Audrie. As you can imagine, you should be prepared for serious delays if you need to commute through here.
In 2023, some rideshare fares spiked by five times due to traffic gridlock, so plan ahead if you’re not walking!
Parking
Book parking early if you’re attending. Options at hotels along the Strip will be very limited, and many will only allow hotel guests to park. Try parking further away at the Las Vegas Convention Center or Downtown Las Vegas, and take a look at nearby shuttle schedules.
Public Transport
The Las Vegas Monorail could be many people’s best bet, with stations from MGM Grand to Sahara Las Vegas. It’s fast, avoids street traffic, and will operate through Formula 1 weekend. The Monorail will operate on extended hours during race week, so be sure to check the updated schedule and Las Vegas Strip map for specific operational times.
Whether you’re a local or visiting, the 2024 Las Vegas Grand Prix is going to be massive. Stay informed, plan ahead, and enjoy the unique energy this event brings to the city!
