Calling all burrito lovers, ink enthusiasts, and anyone in between! Chipotle is jumping big into tattoo culture this Friday the 13th. The restaurant chain is releasing its first-ever series of temporary flash tattoos, inspired by the viral trend comparing people’s ink to the doodles on a Chipotle bag. Thanks to the meme, a whole aesthetic was born – so now, you can get “tatted like a Chipotle bag”. The beloved chain is offering limited-edition temporary tattoos featuring brand-inspired artwork at 13 select locations across the U.S., including the Las Vegas Chipotle at 2540 S Decatur Blvd.

The tradition of Friday the 13th
In case you’re wondering why this is even a thing, Friday the 13th has long been seen as an unlucky day. But tattoo artists flipped the script by offering flash tattoos on the same day. It was a fun way to embrace rebellion and superstition all at once. Tattoo artist Oliver Peck helped turn it into a widespread ritual. He started offering $13 tattoos at his Dallas shop back in the ’90s. Since then, it’s become a nationwide event, with people lining up for quick, pre-designed tattoos.
