Every December, Google unveils the year’s most-searched topics, offering a glimpse into what captured curiosity over the past 12 months. Let’s dive into what America – and specifically Las Vegas – was searching for this year. Here are Google’s Top Searches in 2024:
Top searches in the US
Unsurprisingly, this year’s elections topped searches overall in the US. From general topics to looking up each candidate or their vice presidents, this area topped news and people.
In other news…people looked up the Olympics, Paralympics, Copa America, and Hurricane Milton.
Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani was the most searched celebrity duo, while Raygun’s breakdance performance was – by far – the most searched performance.
People looked for Griselda when it comes to TV shows, and Inside Out 2 stole the show when it comes to movies in 2024 – surpassing Beetlejuice Beetlejuice and It Ends With Us.
Somatic workouts (moving with intention) were very popular, while the New York Yankees were, once again, the most searched sport team.
How about music? It’s safe to say that Kendrick Lamar dominated the charts, with 3 out of the top 5 searched songs! Not Like Us was number 1.
