The Las Vegas Rescue Mission Is Giving Away 2,500 Free Turkeys This Week For Thanksgiving

By Secret Las Vegas November 10, 2020

The organization is hosting a drive-thru giveaway for families in need.

Thanksgiving is only a couple of weeks away! And in the spirit of gratitude and giving, the Las Vegas Rescue Mission is coming through for local families in need. This Thursday, November 12 and Saturday, November 14, the organization is hosting a drive-thru that will give away a total of 2,500 turkeys! The giveaway will be open both days from 8 am until 12 pm and will be hosted at their facilities at 480 W. Bonanza Road.

In order to ensure safe social distancing and minimal contact, it will be a drive-thru only event. Cars will enter through the front gate, and the fixings for a delicious Thanksgiving meal will be loaded into the trunk by LVRM personnel.

Each car will receive one turkey with all the trimmings, including a turkey pan, a can of corn, a can of gravy, a box of mashed potato mix and a box of stuffing. No sign up is required to attend, but families should be prepared to show ID with their address.

Only one Thanksgiving package per family will be given out so that supplies last as long as possible. Carpooling with another family? Just make sure to bring proof of different addresses! Check out the LVRM website for more information.
