For Vegas locals, Lee Canyon has long been the ultimate summer escape: a chance to trade the valley heat and city noise for crisp mountain air and cooler temperatures. And yes, that even means practicing your sun salutations at 8,600 feet! But as summer winds down, so typically do the outdoor yoga mats.
Not this year. The mountain is changing the pace.
Due to popular demand, Lee Canyon is officially extending its ‘Mountainside yoga‘ series into the fall season, with classes now running every Sunday through October 18.
Breathe in the crisp mountain air
If you thought practicing in the summer was refreshing, the fall extension offers something entirely new: crisp fall air and the shifting colors of Lee Canyon’s Aspen Grove. Temperatures up on the mountain run a consistent 30 to 40 degrees cooler than the Vegas valley, making it an ideal outdoor sanctuary to watch the seasons change.
Classes take place every Sunday at 10 AM and feature a mix of flow and power yoga styles led by experienced instructors. Whether you’re a seasoned yogi or a complete beginner, the sessions are designed to be welcoming for all ages and skill levels.
Bonus: September sound healing sessions

As a special addition to the fall schedule, Lee Canyon is also hosting a series of post-yoga sound healing and meditation sessions throughout September. The best part? These 11:30 AM sessions are included in your standard yoga registration fee.
If you’re heading up this month, plan to stick around after class for:
- Sept 6: Sound Healing with Mariana Sobol of SoundHolistic
- Sept 20: Sound Bath & Meditation with Jenn Urbaniak of Ascension Mountain
- Sept 27: Sound Bath with JaeAna Bernhardt of SoundsSoLovely
Know before you flow
Because the setting is a natural, partially shaded forest environment, the resort recommends packing a few essentials:
- Your own yoga mat
- Comfortable, layer-friendly clothing
- Water, a hat, and sunscreen
Spaces in the Aspen Grove are limited to preserve the tranquil environment, so pre-registering online through Lee Canyon’s website is highly recommended.
Grab your mat, breathe in, and stretch that summer feeling.
