A new study was released by Q.R Code Generator that ranked the top 10 celebrity restaurants in the United States and Las Vegas’ Nobu scored third place.
The original Nobu opened in 1994 and now has expanded to over 50 restaurants around the globe, one of those being in Las Vegas.
For anyone who hasn’t tried Nobu, they’re a Japanese and Peruvian-fusion upscale restaurant that’s been serving the rich, the celebrities, the foodies for years now. Robert De Niro, after visiting Nobu Matsuhisa’s restaurant, Matsushisa, encouraged Nobu to start a restaurant in New York, the original restaurant that even had Masaharu Morimoto of Iron Chef fame cooking.
There are 3 Nobu locations in Las Vegas in Paris, Caesers Palace, and Virgin Hotel, with the latter coming in third place on the top rated celebrity retaurants in the United States. It ranked 78.78%, only under Jon Bon Jovi’s JBJ Soul Kitchen in New Jersey and Norman Reedus and Greg Nicotero’s Nic and Norman’s restaurant in Georgia.
All 3 Las Vegas Nobu restaurants have menus that vary slightly different, but we’re going to focus on Virgin Hotel’s menu. Each menu has classic dishes that remain similar across all restaurants and local dishes where the chefs are allowed to creatively adapt menu items to represent the region. For Virgin Hotel’s menu, it’s separated into cold and hot dishes, like Toro Carpaccio with Seasonal Truffles, Australian Wagyu Ribeye Truffle Butter, Seafood Ceviche, or Nobu tacos with options like tuna, lobster, or king crab to name a few select items.
P.S. Robert De Niro, when he first dined at Matsushisa, always ordered the Black Cod with Miso which is on the Nobu mennu as well.
Nobu staff have an expert handle of the menu so the omakase, which translates to ‘I leave it up to you’ is an excellent option for the adventurous who want to really experience Nobu. The Chef’s tasting costs $225 per person.
If you’re interested in dining here, we’d recommend grabbing a reservation in advance as the locations are all popular and globally known.
Plus, highly rated accordingto the survey. So, have you dined here before? Did you think Nobu was worth its number 3 spot? Do you think celebrity restaurants are even worth the splurge?
