Who doesn’t love spring in Vegas? The perfect weather, amazing festivals, pool-parties, and beautiful floral displays. Currently cherry and pear blooms around the city are just starting to show, and they usually peak from mid-March to early April. While their beauty is incredibly temporary – trees typically only stay in full bloom for about 10 days – it’s a spectacular event you don’t ever want to miss.
The “Cherry Blossoms” at Gardens Park
You may have seen photos and reels on social media showing the stunning blossoms at Gardens Park in Summerlin. While it’s an absolute must-visit, those aren’t actually cherry blossoms, as some claim – they are pear blossoms! For flower lovers, the main difference is the color: pear blossoms boast a pure, velvety shade of white with delicate petals.
In Chinese culture, these gorgeous blooms represent purity, love, and longevity, making them a popular choice for wedding decor and floral arrangements.
Where to see the blooms
To find these hidden gems, head to the East side of the park near the Gardens Park Recreation Center. Whether you’re planning a romantic date, a stroll, or a family outing, it’s a picture-perfect destination. Along with the scenic walking trail, the park also has a children’s play zone, sports courts, and picnic areas. You can even host a spring BBQ!
