This summer, Universal Horror Unleashed is bringing a legendary survival-horror franchise to life in Las Vegas. Through August 30, the year-round haunt at AREA15 has transformed into Raccoon City for an all-new Resident Evil Takeover.
Timed to celebrate the franchise’s 30th anniversary, the release of the critically acclaimed 9th video game installment (Resident Evil Requiem), and the upcoming film reboot by Zach Cregger, this immersive experience throws you directly into a terrifying T-Virus outbreak.
Your journey through Raccoon City at AREA15

The experience draws from the mechanics of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis. You’ll navigate 6 story-driven zones, solving puzzles and scouring locations for keys and herbs. Can you survive the quarantine?
- Zone 1 – Arrival: Your nightmare begins at the “Welcome to Raccoon City” sign, with emergency lights flashing as the police tries to contain the rapidly spreading T-Virus.
- Zone 2 – Mission: Report to the Raccoon City Police Department, which has locked down the city. Here, you’ll receive your assignment by solving a series of puzzles.
- Zone 3 – Infection: Race against the clock into the quarantined heart of the city. You’ll encounter flesh-eating zombies and might even spot the mysterious Ada Wong.
- Zone 4 – Combat: Fight alongside iconic heroes like Claire Redfield, Leon S. Kennedy, and Jill Valentine as they blast villains like Nemesis with a face-full of lead.
- Zone 5 – Escape: The final stretch of your journey. Push through the last mission and test your survival skills to make it out of the outbreak alive.
- Zone 6 – Aftermath: If you survive, you’ll enter the Umbrella Corporation’s aftermath zone: a themed diner where lab techs study undead specimens and survivors can grab a bite.
What’s at Umbrella Corp Cafe?

After dodging the infected all night, it’s time to unwind. The menu features deep cuts for fans:
- The Undead Hash: Served in a plant pot to restore your health to 100%.
- The Jill Sandwich: A classic callback (just hold the Jill).
- Themed drinks: Bright Jell-O shots served in syringes and glowing cocktails served in beakers, like ‘The Umbrella’.
