Welcome, 2026! On January 1st, we all get to relax and recharge our batteries for this wonderful new year. While most of us can easily find enough stuff at home to go through one day of store closures, you never know when you may need something, or what ingredient you’re missing for that perfect breakfast. Luckily, many major retailers and shopping centers in Las Vegas will be open, though some operate on shortened holiday schedules – and remember, the Strip stays busy! Here’s what stores are open and when on New Year’s Day in Las Vegas.

- Circle K and Terrible’s also maintain their regular 24-hour schedule on New Year’s Day.
