The Kansas City Chiefs will play the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl after each won in their respective conferences on Sunday.
The Chiefs have been to the Super Bowl four times in the past five seasons and could be the first team to win consecutive Super Bowl championships since the New England Patriots did two decades ago. The 49ers have five Super Bowl wins while the Chiefs have three, but the 49ers haven’t won since 1995. The last time the Chiefs and 49ers came up against each other, the latter lost back in 2020.

While tickets may seem ridiculous (and they kind of are), there’s been a lot of talk about how important the Las Vegas Super Bowl is for the city, naming it as the biggest sports event of year. And that’s with the fact that the Las Vegas Grand Prix and Nationals Finals Rodeo will also be happening.
According to Forbes, “the last Super Bowl generated a reported $1.3 billion in total economic activity or gross output for Arizona, including a $726.1 million total contribution to Arizona’s gross domestic product,” and while the city of Las Vegas declined to state any actual numbers they predicted the Bowl would generate between $600 million and $700 million more than a typical Super Bowl weekend in Las Vegas when the city isn’t even hosting, which it will be hosting for the first time in history.
Where will you be watching the Super Bowl if not at Allegiant Stadium? The game is at Allegiant Stadium on Sunday, February 11th, 2024.
