Is saying yes at the altar a bit too basic for you? How about a taco altar, then? Taco Bell Cantina has been hosting weddings on the Vegas strip for a couple of years now. But what does it actually mean to get married at Taco Bell – besides a great opening story whenever someone asks “so how did you guys get married”?
A dreamy Taco Bell wedding
The first thing to keep in mind is that Taco Bell cannot actually give you a marriage license. You’ll need to have already obtained it and bring it with you. Only Nevada marriage licenses are accepted at the moment. If you just want to renew your vows, no license is needed.
Taco Bell weddings are amazing to celebrate your cheesy romance with your loved ones, but may not be your thing if you dream of a big wedding. The taco chapel will welcome you, your loved one, and up to 25 guests. You cannot bring food or drinks from outside, but if there’s one spot where that shouldn’t be a problem…it’s at Taco Bell. Besides all the favorites, yes, they have an alcohol bar and delicious mixers.
Wondering if you need a bouquet? You could get one, but where’s the fun in that, when the venue offers their unique interpretation of it?! Let’s be honest, flower bouquets look gorgeous in pictures, but a Taco Bell Sauce Packet bouquet to walk down the aisle with…well that’s priceless. The only bad news here is that you cannot keep it.
Planning your wedding
Another massive pro about this spicy wedding option is that there’s no need to plan years or even months in advance. The venue simply needs a heads-up 4 hours in advance! So, besides having a unique ceremony, you’re definitely cutting out a big part of the stress. Th wedding package also comes with cake – the legendary Cinnabon Delights – champagne flutes, and a Taco Party Pack. You will, however, need to bring your own photographer for those ever lasting memories.
Your Taco Bell wedding would last 30 minutes, and costs $777…as you hit the jackpot! While this fun and quirky event isn’t everyone’s dream, it’s the perfect option for those who want something casual, quick and fun, or for those who share a passion for Taco Bell that others just “don’t get”.
So are people really doing it?
They sure are! A couple of year ago, a Chinese couple wanted to be the first ones from that part of the world to say I do with some crunchy tacos and spiked Baja Blasts. Two years ago, a couple even had a Metaverse Taco Bell wedding! Many choose this alternative for a fun and affordable wedding each year, while some prefer to renew their vows with a lighthearted atmosphere. Would you say I do in front of the famous bells?
