Vegas, get ready for some serious nostalgia! It looks like we could see a few of the Strip’s most beloved and free attractions sailing back into action. We may all travel back in time – for one night only – thanks to the ambition of local talent agency founder Kelly Warnell.
Pirates set sail again at the Battle of Buccaneer Bay
If you’re a millennial who grew up in Vegas, “The Battle of Buccaneer Bay” is 100% part of your childhood memories. The beloved show ran outside Treasure Island (TI) four times a day from 1993 to 2003. Later on, the Sirens of TI show took its spot.
Warnell, who runs the Vegas-based talent agency Stunt Alliance and represents some of the original cast members, is making moves to revive the spectacle. She’s even secured (and just announced) a date for a special one-night-only encore performance. Mark your calendars for October 2, 2026.
To ensure the stunts are up to par, Warnell has even enlisted veteran Hollywood pro Simon Rhee (known for his work on films like Naked Gun and Presumed Innocent).
More classic Vegas revivals
Warnell is also the creator of the popular Halloween events HallowScreamCon and HallowScreamFest. She has big visions for bringing back two other iconic Vegas productions:
- We’re looking at a return of the stunning “Masquerade Show in the Sky”. It used to dazzle guests at the Rio.
- She also envisions reviving the fire-y dragon show that once captivated crowds outside Excalibur.
It seems Warnell is on a mission to bring some essential old-school Vegas magic back to the Strip! It’s worth noting though, that not all are confirmed – so we’ll have to wait and see for future news.
