Every month in Vegas is full of fun and entertainment, but we gotta say….we have a sweet spot for May. Some of the most awaited festivals of the year take place this month. It’s the perfect time to hang out on the many rooftops and at the many pools. Moreover, some incredible artists are stopping by Sin City. Without further ado…here are our favorite 13 things to do in Vegas this May.
1. Dance it away at EDC
Let’s kick this list off with a massive, much beloved festival, that welcomes around 500,000 locals and travelers alike each year. Between May 16 – 18, at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, enjoy the best beats that will transport you into another world. The lineup features Martin Garrix, Tiesto, Illenium b2b SLANDER, and more. As electronic music fans already know, this is THE event of the year, and cannot be missed this May in Vegas.
2. Don’t miss Post Malone’s tailgate party and show
Post Malone brings the first ever free tailgate party to Vegas, and we are here for it! Prior to the artist’s show – which takes place on May 3, at Allegiant Stadium – the ultimate pre-party will take place. This classic tailgate party takes place in the stadium’s parking lot, and it welcomes everyone. From the moment the gates open, a DJ will kick things off, setting the vibe before local artists take the stage to keep the energy going all day. The parking lot will transform into a full-blown celebration that you absolutely should attend – whether you’re one of the lucky ones to go to his show, or not.
3. Rock it out at Punk Rock bowling in Vegas this May
Rock lovers, this one’s for you. Between May 24-26, at Downtown Las Vegas Events Center, this three-day outdoor festival is the place to be. It features 2 stages and over 30 bands, with a great lineup. You can sing along with Power Trip, The Adicts, The Interrupters, Frank Turner, The Damned, Amigo the Devil, and many more. The party never ends in Las Vegas, but that doesn’t mean we don’t have some amazing museums, too! When escaping the heat, we love to check out ARTE, for something a little bit different. Here, you’ll experience nature in a fusion of sight, sound, and scent. It’s a space that features immersive media artworks into amazing digital landscapes. After your visit, don’t forget to check out their cafe, and enjoy a cup of tea, with a side of art. You can find tickets here.
