Are you ready for a healthy dose of ‘throwback meets fun’? Back in October 2025, RetroEscapes – the world’s first-ever nostalgia park – was announced. We knew that the much-awaited park will open in or around Vegas, but not more. We finally have an update!
An update on RetroEscapes

Recently, the project dropped some major updates that suggest gears are turning. David “Dez” Hernandez has been brought on as Creative Director. A heavyweight in the industry, Dez is a THEA and IAAPA Award winner with decades of experience crafting world-class theme parks. With him leading the storytelling, we just know this is gonna be good.
On the logistics front, the team is currently scouting land. They are evaluating 30-50 acre sites in Vegas, looking for a spot that can either stand alone or integrate into an existing resort ecosystem.
About RetroEscapes

In a city known for looking forward to the next big thing, this project is turning the clock back. The world’s first-ever nostalgia park will bring the golden eras of pop culture to our backyards.
If you’ve ever wished you could step inside your favorite decades, this is the concept for you. RetroEscapes will be a fully immersive destination that blends the thrill of a theme park with the vibe of a nightlife spot. The aim is to transport guests through time zones spanning the 1950s through the 1990s.
The vision includes rides, retail, and live entertainment specific to each era. Picture grabbing a shake at a legitimate ’50s diner, hitting up a ’70s disco, and stopping by at a ’90s-style skate park. There’s also talk of a ‘Tomorrow Zone’, where the past meets the future, and a fountain of youth that features nighttime shows.

Overall, it’s designed to be a daytime family attraction that transforms into an immersive nightlife hub when the sun goes down. RetroEscapes is shaping up to be the ultimate blast from the past!
