When Insomniac first teased the World Party Parade back in February, details were still slim, but now it’s locked in.
The Clark County Commission voted Tuesday to officially approve the parade called ‘World Party Parade’ as part of Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) weekend. EDC is one of the largest electronic music festivals in the world, held annually at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
The parade, the first in the festival’s 30-year history, will be free and open to the public.
The free parade is set for Thursday, May 14, kicking off at 6 p.m. and is expected to run for 2.5 hours, according to EDM Maniac – This is the night before EDC Las Vegas officially opens at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
What to expect at EDC’s first free parade on the Las Vegas Strip
There will be 15 floats grouped into five sets of three, accompanied by live DJs, performers, entertainers, and marching bands.
The parade route on the Las Vegas Strip is expected to pass some of the Strip’s biggest properties: Circus Circus, Fontainebleau, Hilton Grand Vacations, Resorts World, Sahara, and Sky Tower.
