Big news for all EDC lovers! To celebrate the festival’s massive 30th anniversary, Insomniac founder Pasquale Rotella just announced they are taking over the Las Vegas Strip for a huge techno parade. They’re calling it World Party, and it’s going down on Thursday, May 14. That’s the night before the actual festival starts.
The parade kicks off at 6 PM. and, best of all, it’s completely free. Rotella dropped the news during a livestream.
All you need to know about the World Party Parade
In a massive celebration of the festival’s 30th anniversary, the party will feature exactly 30 unique art cars rolling down Las Vegas Boulevard. These iconic vehicles will function as fully mobile stages, with booming sound systems and roaming performers, bringing the authentic EDC art car experience directly to the public. About EDC

Electric Daisy Carnival, commonly known as EDC, is one of the most famous electronic dance music festival in North America and a bucket-list event for ravers worldwide. While it started as a warehouse party in Los Angeles in the 90s, it has evolved into a massive spectacle. Currently, it’s held at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
EDC is known for its colossal stages, carnival rides, art installations, and nightly fireworks shows that rival the Olympics.
The Minion Army
A viral movement to flood EDC 2026 with an army of minions has recently received the festival’s blessing. What began as a joke on TikTok to rally a squad of friends dressed as the yellow characters has exploded into a massive mobilization, with hundreds already signed up on Discord and Partiful to participate on the festival’s first day. The movement gained legitimacy when the official EDC Instagram account commented that they would love to help make the takeover happen. Now, a meme may turn into a legendary event for the festival’s 30th anniversary.
