Cherry blossoms and other spring blooms are simply wonderful. They transform every park or street, and add a certain magic that only comes with this season. However, their beauty is incredibly temporary…and if you’d like to see the trees in full bloom, you usually have about 10 days to really enjoy the spectacle.
Cherry Blossoms at Gardens Park
You may have seen content around, showing the beautiful blossoms at Garden Park. And it’s true – the park is in full bloom, and it’s an event that you shouldn’t miss! However, Gardens Park doesn’t actually have cherry blossoms – it has pear blossoms. The difference? For the ones who simply love enjoying flowers and their beauty, it’s just a matter of color: pear blossoms are a pure, cute shade of white. Each petal has a delicate, wavy appearance with a soft and velvety texture.
In the Chinese culture, these blooms represent purity, love and longevity. They’re used as decoration for flower arrangement or center pieces, but it’s also very common to see them at weddings. They stand as a promise for the lasting and loving marriage.
So, where can you find these gems at the Gardens Park? Head to the East side of the park, near the Gardens Park recreation center, and enjoy the view.
