We’re going for Olympic gold this weekend! In a historic first, more than 100 of America’s top women Olympians and Paralympians are heading to Vegas for SHE Weekend. This is an unprecedented celebration honoring their athletic achievements. Hosted by hip-hop icon Flavor Flav in partnership with MGM Resorts, the event is set to be one of the largest gatherings of Olympic athletes the city has ever seen.
SHE Weekend – who’s coming?
Fans can expect to see winter sports legends and world champions, including figure skaters Alysa Liu, Amber Glenn, and Madison Chock, ice hockey powerhouse Hilary Knight, alpine skier Breezy Johnson, and speed skater Brittany Bowe. Now THAT’S a lineup!
What, when and where
The festivities kick off in on Thursday, July 16. Our iconic Strip will transform into a parade route featuring fun floats carrying the celebrated athletes, joined by local Las Vegas sports organizations and community groups. It start at 8 PM.
Following the parade, the energy shifts to Toshiba Plaza for a free public concert from 9:15 PM. The live music lineup is just as heavy-hitting as the guest list. Expect performances by Flavor Flav’s own pioneering group Public Enemy, guitar prodigy Grace Bowers, bassist Blu DeTiger, and other surprise guests.
At 10 PM, expect an after party at On the Record with some big surprises.
With free events and incredible access to sporting heroes, it’s a can’t-miss weekend for locals and tourists alike.
