This August, the orchard is hosting its highly anticipated Sunflower Days. This is a celebration of nature’s brightest flower and the perfect excuse to get outside and make some seasonal memories.
Sunflower Days at Gilcrease Orchard
Whether you’re hunting for the ultimate cute photo or just want a break from the city, this sunflower field has you covered. Your ticket guarantees entry into the beautiful blooms, fun photo backdrops and selfie stations scattered throughout. If you’re visiting on a Saturday, you can even catch some first-come, first-served face painting.
If you want to take a piece of the magic home, that’s also possible. You can bring your own garden shears and cut your very own sunflowers for just $2 a stem, with vases also available for purchase on-site. Don’t forget to grab some of the orchard’s fresh produce while you’re there!
Sunflower Yoga
If you’re looking for a more mindful way to start your day, you can also book a spot at the Sunrise Sunflower Yoga sessions happening on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. For $28, you can roll out your mat right in the middle of the blooms from 6 to 7:30 AM.
Led by a pro from Yoga For Life Las Vegas, this all-levels class is the perfect way to stretch and breathe in the fresh morning air. The best part? Your yoga ticket also includes post-class refreshments and 3 fresh-cut sunflowers to take home.
Know before you go
Because we’re talking about August sunshine, the event wraps up early – the field closes at 10 AM – so plan for a morning visit. Tickets are just $4 per person on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and $6 on Saturdays. Little ones aged 5 and under get in for free.
