A brand-new music festival was announced to premiere in Vegas in 2027. It’s called Mega Extraterrestrial Fest 5 (MEF5), and the event promises exactly what its name suggests – an alien-themed experience, complete with music, visuals, and lights.
The event is set to run 11 hours every day and bring over 30 artists. It will have 5 multiverses, but it’s not yet clear what that means; whether it will be different zones, stages, or experiences remains to be seen. The location and further details are also still unknown. It seems like for now, the festival prefers to remain a bit of a mystery. We do know it’s meant to be a full sensory experience, though.
Billboard is calling it “the first extraterrestrial global brand.”
Who’s organizing MEF5?
The main organizer for this unique festival the former leader of Spanish Broadcasting Systems’ events division, Lucas Piña, in charge of 360 Worldwide Entertainment. They partnered with MGM Resorts and production giants PRG. With these names at the helm, expect an exciting event packed with high energy and stunning, immersive designs.
Billboard quoted Lucas Piña: “It is a genre of cosmic fantasy that integrates philosophy, spirituality, science and technology. Through these four narratives, we seek to find the right information for a simpler understanding, from a non-violent perspective, developing a new community that will be identified as the SER-SER generation.”
Storm Area 51 aka Alienstock

When hearing about an extraterrestrial event, some Nevada locals may get an unpleasant déjà vu. Not that long ago, an event called Storm Area 51 made the news, and even got a Netflix documentary. What started as a Facebook event called “Storm Area 51, They Can’t Stop All of Us” in 2019, ended…unexpectedly.
The idea was for people to rush the top-secret U.S. Air Force facility in Nevada, long rumored to hide UFOs and alien technology. The event quickly went viral, with millions of positive RSVPs. Although they claimed ‘they can’t stop us all’, the U.S. Air Force was quite clear in saying that they, in fact, can – and it was all illegal. Eventually, only around 150 people showed up at the gates. Most of them were there for the ‘show’, not to actually enter.
A small festival did come out of it – Alienstock – taking place in nearby towns. It put some businesses in the spotlight, but it also divided these small towns’ communities. Overall, not the best thing to ever happen in Nevada…but it sounds like we get a redo with MEF5!
