This September, Hard Rock Las Vegas gives people a chance to collect a part of Sin City’s history. An online auction will feature over 300 pieces of art from the legendary Mirage Hotel & Casino. You’ll find framed prints, design elements, over 50 statues, and even 4 iconic elements that greeted guests: two bronze mermaids and two brass dolphins. Moreover, a unique Chihuly glass artwork is part of the auctioned collection.
The Mirage, a huge part of Vegas history

The Mirage, which hosted visitors for 34 years as Las Vegas’ first mega resort, became famous for blending luxury, entertainment, and beaauuutiful design. Built for approximately $630 million, it was the most expensive hotel-casino ever at the time – and briefly the largest hotel in the world, with 3044 rooms.
With its lush theme and iconic shows, The Mirage launched the era of the Vegas mega-resort. This spurred a construction boom in the 90s that eventually reshaped the Strip.
Nowadays, the property transitions into the Hard Rock brand – but this auction gives collectors, history buffs, and Mirage lovers the chance to own a piece of that legacy. The new hotel is expected to open in 2027.
Why is Hard Rock hosting this auction?
Hard Rock committed to preserving the legacy of The Mirage though this transition. This isn’t a shock for those familiar with the brand and its renowned collection of music memorabilia across the globe. Hard Rock’s impressive repertoire spans over 80 countries, with over 300 locations.
As the company takes over The Mirage, it promises to showcase the historic significance of the property while introducing exciting experiences for old and new guests.
