1. Las Vegas’ first legal cannabis lounge opened
Smoke & Mirrors is the newest lounge from Thrive Marketplace. Prior to this historic week, you could only buy cannabis products but you couldn’t legally consume them on the Strip. Now that’s all changed. You can buy products from Thrive then consume them at the Smoke & Mirrors lounge or try one of their 11 THC-infused cocktails.
2. The NRL is playing in Las Vegas this weekend
The National Rugby League is no joke and it’s evident in how many prospective Aussies will be heading to the city to watch the sport (around 10-15k). This weekend, the Australian Rugby League be playing in Allegiant Stadium, with the first game kicking off on Saturday March 2nd at 6:30pm PST between the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles and the South Sydney Rabbitohs.
3. Kacey Musgraves is coming to Vegas on her upcoming tour
The country star Kacey Musgraves will be embarking on her world tour, “Deeper Well World” with a show at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday, September 28th. Father John Misty and Nickel Creek will appear as support artists.
4. Madonna will hit the stage this weekend on her epic tour
Today and tomorrow, March 1 and March 2, Madonna will be performing as part of her ‘The Celebration Tour’ at the T-Mobile Arena! Four decades of her iconic discography will be live on the stage. Buy tickets on the website.
5. Pitbull’s new restaurant opened inside a Walmart
Miami-native, Pitbull, came on board as a full partner in the business of Miami Subs which was re-branded to be Miami Grills. Now, the restaurant known for cheesesteaks, gyros and wings, has gotten its first location in Las Vegas in a Walmart of all places.
6. EDC is announcing their lineup through a megamix
The iconic music festival, Electric Daisy Carnival has a creative way of announcing this year’s lineup. They’re hosting a radio show on Youtube, which is a multiple-day megamix called “Music through Music.” The megamix is hosted by Insomniac founder Pasquale Rotella, who was giving out goodies and freebies to people listening and answering questions. This was Thursday’s stage reveal, where they played songs from the artists that will be playing at each of them:

7. New York famous Cheesecake spot, Junior’s is getting a Las Vegas location
Breakfast is about to get even better in Las Vegas with the introduction of Junior’s to the Strip. They’ll be located inside Resort World serving up their famously dense cheesecake in different flavors plus a full breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late-night menu. The news just dropped but the restaurant will be opening in late fall.
8. Jason Derulo announced his first residency at the Venetian
R&B singer Jason Derulo will have his first Las Vegas residency at the Venetian. The singer of top songs like ‘Whatcha Say’ will kick off on May 17th until August 10th on Fridays and Saturdays.
9. An extreme blizzard warning has been issued this week
A California storm set to hit this weekend has caused an extreme blizzard warning for Sierra Nevada that will make travel ‘dangerous to impossible.’ Some are saying up to 10 feet! The conditions are expected until Sunday afternoon so stay safe.
