One of Los Angeles’ most celebrated and decorated taquerias is officially crossing state lines. Luckily for us – to Nevada! Villa’s Tacos is bringing its legendary Sonoran-style creations to Las Vegas, with a planned location at the Durango Casino & Resort inside the Eat Your Heart Out Food Hall. This highly anticipated move will mark the beloved brand’s first-ever expansion outside of L.A.
Villa’s Tacos, an iconic institution

Founded by Victor Villa as a humble pop-up in his grandmother’s Highland Park yard, the business has grown into a SoCal culinary institution. Villa’s Tacos is known for its signature crispy, cheese-loaded quesotacos, served on handmade blue corn tortillas and stacked with grilled meats, guacamole, and house salsas. The exceptional flavor isn’t just loved by locals, but critics too! The taqueria is a 3-time champion of LA Taco’s “Taco Madness” tournament (2021, 2022, 2024) and boasts a prestigious Michelin Bib Gourmand recognition.
Name sounds familiar? You’ve probably seen them at Bad Bunny’s halftime show!
Now, Villa’s Tacos is riding a wave of national visibility following an unforgettable cameo during Bad Bunny’s 2026 Super Bowl LX halftime show. During the opening sequence, Bad Bunny moved past sets representing street vendors and handed a traditional Puerto Rican piragua (shaved ice) to Victor Villa, who proudly stood behind his taco cart on the world’s biggest stage.
For Villa, the moment was a profound tribute to his grandfather, to whom the restaurant is dedicated. He also mentioned the moment as an honor to represent his family’s immigrant journey, the people of Los Angeles, and Latino street culture.
Welcome to Vegas, Villa’s Tacos!
This massive Super Bowl spotlight has successfully catapulted the neighborhood staple onto the national radar. And soon, Las Vegas locals will get a taste of some of the finest blue corn tacos on the West Coast, when Villa’s Tacos fires up its mesquite grills at Durango. We expect to see the doors opening this summer, but details aren’t clear yet.
