Great news for steak lovers and fine-dining enthusiasts: COTE, America’s first and only Michelin-starred Korean Steakhouse, arrived in Vegas. Opened by Simon Kim and his restaurant group, this highly anticipated opening was announced in the summer of 2024. Just 2 weeks ago, the doors opened at The Venetian Resort, with its signature prime meats and craft cocktails.
COTE Vegas, the only Michelin-starred Korean steakhouse

COTE was founded by James Beard Award-nominated Simon Kim, who also founded COQODAQ – an elevated Korean fried chicken spot. The restaurant has earned its reputation in the Michelin guide with its New York location, focusing on wagyu and beautiful dry-aged meats. It has since expanded to Miami and Singapore. Currently, both their NY and Miami location hold a star.
This is their first West Coast location, but COTE draws inspiration from its other restaurants. However, it also has signature vibes, dishes, and even a very Vegas budget – Simon Kim estimates that this location has cost more than all others combined. It also has a team of over 150 people.
COTE’s philosophy combines the conviviality of Korean BBQ with the hallmarks of a classic American steakhouse. Their mantra is simple: steak + fire + cocktails = happiness. Who are we to argue?!
The menu

The beautiful menu is ran by Executive Chef David Shim, and it includes many COTE signature dishes. One that’s worth mentioning is Butcher’s Feast, a fixed-meal ($88) which includes starters, four premium cuts grilled tableside, Korean sides, and vanilla soft serve with soy sauce caramel. Luxurious omakase-style steak tastings are also available. The raw menu features a have-it-all platter with oysters, prawns, caviar, sashimi, and lobster escargot.
Wash it all down with classic cocktails, or go for a unique creation. The Vegas location has its own – Showgirls – a Cosmopolitan with a twist. If you’re more of a beer lover, you’ll find Brooklyn Lager on draft, and other options in bottles.
Inside COTE
Not that you needed another reason to visit this wonderful restaurant, but its interior is stunning and worth mentioning. Inspired by COTE’s floral logo, the tables are around a central bar, making up a pretty open, unique design. There’s also a private dining room available, if you’re looking for more intimacy.
No matter the occasion, COTE is a beautiful addition to the Vegas Strip that’s worth a visit – that Michelin star hasn’t earned itself!
