EDC 2026 is shaping up to be an absolute powerhouse, especially since it’s celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. Taking over the Las Vegas Motor Speedway from May 15 to the 17, the much-awaited electronic dance music festival will transform the grounds into a neon-soaked playground under the “electric sky.” Expect hundreds of thousands of fans, immersive art, full-scale carnival rides, and a stacked lineup – including heavyweights like Tiësto, Martin Garrix, and Armin Van Buuren. Get ready for an epic reunion! No Doubt is kicking off a massive new residency this May, making Gwen Stefani the venue’s very first female headliner. Celebrating the 30th anniversary of their iconic Tragic Kingdom album, the band has already added extra dates through June to keep up with the incredible demand. Celebrate Cinco de Mayo in Las Vegas

Start the month right with a couple of fun parties for Cinco de Mayo. While most clubs and venues in the city will have something going on, the city itself also hosts a free, open-to-the-public celebration.
- The ‘Ultimate Cinco de Mayo Fiesta‘ starts at 12 PM on May 5, with Latin music across 3 stages at Fremont Street Experience. There’s live mariachi, banda and cumbia all day long. It’s a 5-block street party in the heart of downtown, free and for all.
- If you’d rather not be in one place, go for a Cinco de Mayo pubcrawl, on Saturday, May 2, from 6 PM. Starting at The Griffin, your ticket grants you free entry to top venues like Bin 702 and Electric Mushroom, complete with exclusive drink and food specials, a complimentary welcome shot, and a free after-party.
Eat your heart out at the Great American Foodie Fest

Taking place over the weekend of May 8-10, this fun festival brings together over 100 food vendors – some of America’s best – at the Desert Breeze Events Center. Expect a huge variety of offerings, from gourmet burgers and BBQ to specialty desserts and unique fusion creations like poutine and Korean BBQ. Best part? Early bird tickets are just $7.

Maroon, led by James Beard Award-winning chef Kwame Onwuachi, debuted at SAHARA Las Vegas on April 24, 2026. The Afro-Caribbean, live-fire restaurant features a custom jerk pit, whole smoked fish, jerk-spiced chicken and a speakeasy-inspired rum room. Check it out!
First Friday – May edition in Las Vegas
If you want a genuine, local neighborhood party, this is it. On the first Friday of each month, the 18b Arts District blocks off the streets for a huge, free community event. You’ll find local artists showcasing their work, live indie bands, artisan vendors, and a vibrant crowd.
Running alongside the iconic Sphere residency is the “No Doubt Experience” at The Venetian. This if a free pop-up, open for all. You quite literally step into the exhibit through a trippy, orange grove portal. From there, you’re hit with a collection of over 500 deeply personal artifacts pulled straight from the closets and storage units of Gwen, Tony, Tom, and Adrian. More info below!
Don’t miss Fremont Street Experience’s free summer concerts in Las Vegas this May

This month, downtown Las Vegas’s is bringing back its beloved lineup of free outdoor music performances for the 9th year. Country star Lee Brice will inaugurate the festivities mid-month. Throughout the warmer months, you can catch Fuel, Finger Eleven, and Mayday Parade, as well as regional cover acts and fresh local talent.

Mountainside Yoga at Lee Canyon offers scenic outdoor yoga flows on Mount Charleston, taking place on Sundays at 10 AM throughout May. Enjoy the fresh mountain air, that’s roughly 30–40 degrees cooler than Las Vegas. Classes start from just $10!

Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel: The Exhibition just opened its doors as a brand-new permanent attraction at The Shops at Crystals on the Strip. This work of art features full-scale reproductions of all 34 of Michelangelo’s iconic frescoes, allowing you to appreciate the vivid colors and incredible anatomical details up close. Along with the legendary ceiling paintings, you’ll also find life-sized sculptural representations of renowned masterpieces: David, Moses, and the Pietà.

The Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Garden is currently displaying ‘Springtime Symphony: Music in Motion,’ a free, multi-sensory spring floral installation where music and nature meet. The seasonal display occupies the 14,000-square-foot conservatory and includes The Garden Table dining experience (reservations required).

Carlos Santana’s Greatest Hits Live Las Vegas Residency celebrates 10 years at House of Blues at Mandalay Bay! The sound of Carlos Santana is one of the world’s best-known musical signatures; and we cannot wait to enjoy the show.

SoCal’s favorite, The Hat, is bringing its famous sandwiches to Vegas. Sin City will be the first location outside of California, so get ready for long lines that will totally be worth it once you take that first bite. The Vegas menu will feature the chain’s signature items, including its massive pastrami dip sandwiches (with homemade jus), pastrami burgers, and mounds of chili cheese fries.
The chain just recently announced its opening date – head there on May 6, 2026.

The Springs Preserve Butterfly Habitat is open for the 2026 season, running April 4 through May 25. It’s an immersive experience with hundreds of free‑flying butterflies! The exhibit is educational and family‑friendly, showcasing species like Blue Morpho, Painted Lady, Zebra Longwing and Monarch.

Many visitors envision this national park as a sun-baked extension of Death Valley. However, Great Basin boasts Lehman Caves – the longest developed cave system in Nevada – and the towering 13,062-foot Wheeler Peak.
But the true crown jewel for hikers is the Bristlecone and Glacier Trail. To begin, You’ll navigate the winding Wheeler Peak Scenic Drive to a trailhead sitting at a breathless 10,000 feet in elevation. From there, there’s a 1.4-mile trek, climbing 600 vertical feet into a rugged grove of Great Basin bristlecone pines. This very grove was once home to Prometheus, a 4,900-year-old pine that held the title of the oldest known non-clonal organism before it was tragically cut down by a researcher in the 1960s.
